About the club

Cyprus International
Sailing Club

An international community of sailors based at Limassol Marina. We race hard, train together and share long evenings at the dock — a club of people, not a yacht brokerage.

Who we are

01

The club

CISC is a five-time CSF “Best Offshore Sailing Club in Cyprus”. We bring together 150+ members from across the island and beyond — beginners, weekend racers, offshore skippers and pro crews — under one flag, one home port and one shared passion for sport sailing.

02

Where we sail

Our home is Limassol Marina (E101) on the south coast of Cyprus — one of the most modern marinas in the Eastern Mediterranean, with year-round wind, mild winters and almost 300 sailing days a year.

03

What we do

Weekly trainings, club regattas, national championships, offshore races and corporate team-building. We also run an academy programme that takes complete beginners from land-lubbers to racing crew in a single season.

Our story

01

Founded

CISC was founded by a small group of Limassol-based sailors who wanted a real racing club on the island — one-design fleet, proper umpiring, training every week and a community that shows up rain or shine.

02

Building the fleet

We invested in a one-design fleet of FAREAST 28R sport-racing yachts, set up a fixed berthing line at Limassol Marina, and built a year-round race and training calendar around it.

03

Today

Five CSF awards, 150+ active members, a full national championship calendar and crews flying the CISC burgee in regattas across the Mediterranean.

The fleet

15 × FAREAST 28R

A true one-design sport-racing yacht: 8.5 m LOA, 1.85 m draft, asymmetric spinnaker on a retractable bowsprit, planing hull. Identical boats mean it’s the crew that wins — not the wallet.

Support fleet

Up to three RIB-class motor boats for jury, safety and coaching, deployed on every club race and team-building day.

Sails & gear

One-design Dacron mains and jibs for trainings and club racing; dedicated race inventories for championship events. Full safety kit on every boat, maintained year-round by the club team.
